Hi, I’m Mel. I’m married to my loving husband, Byron, and we’re blessed with two beautiful girls, Azaliah and Anaiah. I used to live in the Philippines but moved to Hawaii with my husband to start our family.
I’m a work-from-home mom as a Virtual Assistant specializing in Search Engine Optimization and Web Management (for E-Commerce Sites). My husband works as a post office clerk on a night shift.
The Problem
Even though my husband and I both have stable jobs, I could not simply dismiss the fact that we’re not getting any younger so we need to plan our retirement, and our two girls are growing up fast and we need to be able to provide the best for them until they are able to stand on their own. I also have this desire to impart my skills and knowledge about being a VA, specifically on E-Commerce and SEO, to others. Besides, I also want to bless people back in the Philippines including the mission God has given me.
The Solution
Thinking about my situation, I knew I needed a business that could give us a stable, overflowing source of income that can provide for our needs and my family back home; a business that would allow me and my husband to stop working and retire early; a business that won’t affect our time together but instead allow us to enjoy all our kids’ milestones or do the things that truly matters for us. The kind of business that would allow me to impart what skills and knowledge I have gained over the years.

I knew investing in a brick-and-mortar trade wouldn’t thrive because everything is done virtually nowadays. So I thought, why not an online business? But what kind of online business? I didn’t want to get involved in selling products because I know I’m not good at it.
Normally, I’d ignore long posts that I see on my timeline because, honestly, I actually thought they’re just made up or fabricated just to get people’s attention. But this story I came across on my newsfeed was different.
The Leap of Faith
I stopped scrolling and read through the entire post and it was as if the writer was talking to me personally. This post talked about a digital business that doesn’t require selling or experience in business or expertise with technology. It said something about a system that works in the background 24/7 and that it can work for anyone given the proper training, mentoring, and coaching.
I was skeptical at that time but still curious, so I watched the complimentary webinar and had a glimpse of what the business was all about. After watching, it was like there was this still small voice inside my head that said, “this is what you’ve been praying for” and right then and there I knew this business was for me.
Knowing my situation, I took the leap of faith and the rest was history…
The Breakthrough
Fast forward to a few months later, I’m beyond grateful I listened to that still small voice and took action. I am now a digital business owner and a digital business mentor. As this online business runs in the background 24/7, I stopped making a living and started making a life with my husband and two daughters. I’m on the path towards achieving the life that I want for me and my family.
